2025 Annual Remembrance Service

Jefferson Memorial Cemetery & Funeral Home is honored to host one of the Liberty Bells from Bells Across PA, a statewide initiative marking America’s 250th birthday with replica bells on display in each of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties through 2026. The Jefferson bell, "Windows into History," represents our historic cemetery in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Designed by local artist Scott Saloney, the bell pays homage to the historical statuary, architecture and site's rich history, with imagery that mirrors the vibrant glass artwork found throughout our scenic grounds. Details: The bell will remain on display in the Jefferson Mausoleum starting Thursday, December 11, 2025, through December 31, 2026, at 401 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. The public is invited and encouraged to view the bell. Mausoleum hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Please be mindful and respectful of funeral services and those visiting a loved one at the cemetery when visiting.

Growing through Grief - A Peer Support Group Have you experienced the death of a loved one? Looking for a way to talk through your feelings? No matter when your loss occurred, we are here to help you navigate through your grief and find healing through support. Join the Pittsburgh Grief Support Group at Liquid Vibes Coffee in West Elizabeth every second Friday of the month from 6-7 PM. Drop in for any session you wish, all free of charge. Celebrating Memorial Day is a time honored tradition at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery & Funeral Home. Join us on Monday, May 25, 2026, for our annual Memorial Day Ceremony in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, PA. The annual program is free and open to the public. Memorial Day Weekend Activities 2026: We will hold flower bouquet sales starting Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 (while supplies last) at the Cemetery Administration building. Our staff will also be available all weekend to assist the public with finding loved ones, handing out flags, on-demand service requests and to answer any questions you may have. All proceeds raised support the Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House Standard Information: To our veteran families, the cemetery is unable to request flag standards ourselves on behalf of the veterans we honor on our grounds. The standards we have available are those collected after each prior year's event.
