2025 Annual Remembrance Service

Jefferson Memorial cordially invites you to our Annual Service of Remembrance.

The Annual Remembrance Service will be held at the Pleasant Hills Church (Great Room) in Pleasant Hills on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 6-8:00 PM. Cookie Hour will take place from 6-7:00 PM and the Service will begin at 7:00 PM. If you are unable to attend in person, we will host a livestream of the service live on our homepage at jeffersonmemorial.com

Each family that responds by November 12 will receive a keepsake ornament to memorialize their loved one. During Cookie Hour, we will play a video tribute for those of whom we will honor during the service.

We invite all the families who we have served to join together with our family so that we may honor, remember, and celebrate the life of all who are recognized on the grounds of Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Funeral Home, Crematory & Arboretum. We hope gathering together this holiday season will bring you comfort and fellowship, especially in a time of loss or grief.

Church Address: 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236

Please RSVP by calling (412) 655-4501 or emailing [email protected]. You must RSVP by November 12 to receive an ornament!

2025 Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Please join us on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Jefferson Memorial’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event will be held indoors at the Jefferson Mausoleum, located directly across the mall from the Administration Building. Families are invited to join us to hang a personalized tree ornament dedicated to their loved one on our remembrance tree. We encourage families to bring their own ornament which may showcase the unique life of their loved one. If you choose not to bring your own ornament, we will have decorations on hand to place on the tree for all who attend. There will be a community tree to decorate, light holiday refreshments, as well as holiday-themed music by the TJHS Choir. There are many holidays celebrated over the month of December, including but not limited to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice and more. Whether you commemorate any of these holidays, or simply wish to come together in fellowship with others who have lost a loved one over the recent years, we look forward to gathering together to celebrate your loved one’s life. On behalf of Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Funeral Home, Crematory & Arboretum, and the Neel Family, we wish you a safe and happy holidays and upcoming New Year. Please note: Ornaments will be kept on the tree until January 20, 2026. If you would like to keep your ornament, please remove it from the tree by this date. You are welcome to collect it on your own time. While we encourage any ornaments brought to be a personalized token of your loved one, we do not suggest any item of value, either personal or monetary value, to be utilized. You will be able to come and pick up your ornament once the tree is taken down in our cemetery office building, otherwise, all decorations will be removed.
