Bringing Your Pet Into Our Care

If you are unable or uncomfortable transporting your pet to the cemetery, we will pick him/her up from your home or veterinary hospital and set up a convenient time to meet with you at the cemetery.

Pet parents may purchase a pet grave or choose property to be buried with or near their beloved animal. If you already own unused cemetery lots, you can transfer them to the Garden of Faithful Friends to create a shared final resting place with your pet.

Yes. We offer professional transport services throughout the South Hills and greater Pittsburgh area to bring your beloved pet into our care.

Standard Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM): $85
After Hours (4:30 PM – 9:00 PM): $205 – $310. If your pet passes at a local veterinarian’s office, you can request that they release your pet into our care directly.

Private Cremation means your pet is the only one in the chamber. The ashes are carefully collected and returned to you in a memorial urn of your choice.

Communal Cremation means several pets are cremated together. Because the ashes are commingled, they are not returned to the family but are scattered respectfully on our beautiful cemetery grounds. This is more common at vet clinics.

Yes, at Jefferson Memorial our Garden of Faithful Friends is a "Pets and People" garden. You can purchase property to be buried in the same lot or an adjacent lot with your beloved companion, ensuring you stay together forever. Our options include ground burial, mausoleum entombment and even cremation niches for either your pet only, or to be buried alongside your faithful pet.

With Jefferson Memorial Cemetery's pet cremation services, we provide you with a private pet cremation. You will typically receive your pet’s cremated remains (ashes) within one week. You may choose to select additional keepsakes, such as paw print impressions, locks of fur/hair, personalized pet urns or memorial items are available for an extra fee, depending on your wishes.
