What a great guy! I haven’t seen Mr. Barrett in years but he was such a part of my youth growing up. I can count at least four sports teams he coached me. Twice in basketball, once in baseball and once in football. A man definitely committed to youth in Pleasant Hills. He was unique unlike any other coach. He was intense when he had to be but understanding knowing it was just a game that should be enjoyed. My thought and prayers are with his family. I was glad to be part of his rich serving life. Dave and I are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Dave and Bill enjoyed sharing many travel stories at the Nape reunion picnic held at McDade Park. Of course my mother Marie adored him.
