R. Wayne Madden passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 86. Born on August 18, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Wayne grew up to be a man of compassion, spirit, and adventure. He Read Obituary
It was as a young teenager, employed at Herbert's Pharmacy, that I met Wayne.
A couple of years after that, we were both students at Duquesne University.
My greatest memory of Wayne is his friendliness, constant smile, and kindness to the employees and customers at Herbert's.
My sympathy is his family.

I'm very sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. He was very funny, down to earth, and one of the best bosses I ever had. I worked with him at GE pharmacy for almost 8 years and learned alot about the pharmacy world. He made work alot of fun and was loved by so many. You will be missed Wayne.

I am sure there are many of us that worked at Giant Eagle Pharmacy \"back in the day\" who have fond memories of time spent working with Wayne. He was a stalwart at Caste Village, part of a team that the customers loved. My opportunity was at the original Village Square store. Our overlap was scarce, but when we had time together he would make me laugh - I cherish that time. My condolences to the Madden family on their loss.
