Robert M. Loeffler's Obituary
Robert M. Loeffler, age 87, of Pleasant Hills, passed away on June 17, 2026.
Robert graduated with an associate's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was an avid gardener, finding joy in nurturing plants and spending time outdoors. He also had a passion for jigsaw puzzles, sports, and was an avid reader. Robert's curiosity knew no bounds; he was well-versed in trains, history, navigating the streets of Pittsburgh, and engaging in political discussions. His dedication to community service shone through his role as a Boy Scout leader, where he instilled values of leadership and teamwork in the youth he mentored.
Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years Lorraine Loeffler; children Diane Rys, Bob Loeffler, and Beth Loeffler; grandchildren Kate, Eric, Thomas, Dakota, Bailey, and Angel; great-grandchildren Mycah, Cayde, Zayne, Jayce, and Elodie.
He is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Helen Loeffler, sons Mike and Jim Loeffler, and his grandson Tyler.
Memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. A memorial service will immediately follow visitation at 6:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel.
