Blandin Karabinos
Lorraine, Diane, Bob and Beth, please accept my sincere condolences. My grief cannot match your grief, but it is sincere. It stems from the bonds of our youth, Bob and mine - a bond that was brotherly close and as uniting as pledge or contact. Eighty yeras ago it was formed in the backyards of the projects of Glen Hazel, and with it a "Patria" blossomed. Though Patria is a Latin word for country, it means so much more. It is a bond that soaks up history, tradition, integrity, respect, pride patriotism ... a fraternity and a camaraderie. That was Bob and I had through our years in Scouting and at Central Catholic. He was my pal, my buddy, my best companion ... and I know now, that we will renew that companionship soon on God's terms in His heavenly green. Lefty and Beans! What a duo, what "Patria" we shared. It made us grow and I will ever be grateful for all that Bob gave me, for how Bob supported me, how Bob made me a better man. God rest Bob Loeffler, he was that someone who made a difference in this world. Bill "Beans" Karabinos.
