Robert Karpinsky's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Karpinsky, 85, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025.
Robert was born in McKeesport to Frank and Helen Karpinsky in 1939. His life was lived with dedication. He graduated from Duquesne High School in 1957 and enlisted in the Air Force where he served for six years. Bob worked for US Steel prior to retiring from a 30 year career as a telephone technician for Bell Atlantic (later Verizon) telephone company.
An active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Robert dedicated much of his time serving as an elder, usher, and on the church council. He loved spending quality time with his family, enjoying fishing and camping trips. A devoted sports enthusiast, Robert was an ardent supporter of Pittsburgh sports, proudly holding Steelers season tickets.
Robert was a loving husband to Audrey (Sarosi) Karpinsky, dedicated father to sons, Greg (Ann) Karpinsky, Robert (Kristine) Karpinsky and Chris (Laura) Karpinsky, cherished grandfather to Ryan Karpinsky, Eric Karpinsky, Nicole (Brandon) Karpinsky-Mosley, Natalie (Stefon) Stile, Jared Karpinsky, Stephen Karpinsky and Michelle Karpinsky; and great-grandfather to Sophia, Heath, Elijah and Mila.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen (Bak) Karpinsky as well as his brother, Frank Karpinsky.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 12th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 10 A.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Jefferson Memorial Park.
