Robert "Bob" Karpinsky, 85, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025. Robert was born in McKeesport to Frank and Helen Karpinsky in 1939. His life was lived with dedication. He graduated from Duquesne High School Read Obituary
From an early age, I always remember my grandpa being dedicated to whatever I did. Him and my grandma would travel all year around to my countless softball games and dance recitals. Any activity or school I went to, pap always requested a t-shirt. Oh, how proudly he would wear them. I wish I could have told him how special that made me feel! I will always remember watching A Christmas Story on repeat on Christmas day with him and how he loved Pittsburgh sports (except soccer) as much as I did. I love you, pap and already look forward to seeing you again someday.
My Dad loved to go camping. The first time we went family camping we went to Jamestown on lake Pymatuning. My dad bought a big tent. As he set up the tent it was a beautiful, clear sky night. We all went to bed. During the night the rain hit. Complete non stop downpour. As morning broke the rain didn’t stop we were all stuck in the tent. As time went on the tent started leaking. As puddles started forming on floor of the tent my dad made us all get in the Chevy Blazer. My poor dad grabbed everything from the tent and wrestled the tent down soaked from the storm and just threw it all in the back of the blazer. That was the end of our tent family camping as from that point he bought numerous trailers. Camping was our life. Thank you Dad. Love you for all you gave us. Rob
