Richard (Rich) L. Stetar, 83, of South Park passed away on March 21, 2025 from dementia. Rich is the son of the late Anthony (Tony) and Ann (Kaelin) Stetar of Pleasant Hills. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Karen (Sm Read Obituary
Rich was my mentor and friend back in the mid eighties when we worked at Amarraca together. Rich helped me out tremendously, always patient and supportive. I remember going to get togethers at his house, he always had beer on tap, we played bocce ball in the front yard, always had a great time. We shared a lot of laughs working out of an apartment back in the day, memories I cherish. I offer my deepest condolences to Karen and the entire Stetar family.
Karen was my mom's best friend as I grew up. I spent ALOT Of time there. Alot of swimming, basketball, bocci ball, and they hosted MANY Parties, including my own parents 25th wedding anniversary! Then over the years my kids also grew up going there. They were always generous entertainers. Knew how to have a good time! So many memories! Rich loved to tease me. We loved picking on each other, once I got old enough to give it back to him, hahahah. Rest in peace Rich!!! Love you
We lost a good one in Rich Stetar. He will be missed dearly. The wine brothers are all very sad today. Prayers for Karen, Krissy and the entire Stetar family. In all the years I knew him I never saw Rich get upset (even when I screwed up in his garage and spewed hot grape skins all over his Zephyr that was being polished up for a show) God bless you Rich you will be missed by all who knew you.
I'll remember Rich for his amazing sense of humor, especially when I would walk into a room where he was hanging out, & he would rib me really good! He could always make me laugh, no matter what smart-ass thing he had to say to me! I've missed that for a while now, but still remember those times, as well as his awesome smile. He may not have known it, but I always loved our time when he & I would sit outside & smoke together. He with his cigars, & me with my cigarettes, we'd talk about cars, & about whatever was going on in either of our lives. Usually revolving around cars in any of our topics. We both had a love of them. He had really great stories about his cars, & cars he saw throughout his life. I will always cherish my memories of Rich. He was always really kind to me, & that went far with me. Godspeed to you, Rich!
