Richard Hibbard's Obituary
Age 33 of Little River, South Carolina (formerly of Elizabeth, PA), passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Richard is survived by his wife, Ashley Hibbard; son of James and Bernice Hibbard of Elizabeth, PA; sister, Anne Schroeder, and husband Patrick, nephews and niece, Archer, Wilson and Sylvie Schroeder, all of Oregon; In-laws, James and Sandra Hayden of Irwin, PA; sister-in-law, Brittany Hayden of Irwin, PA and her fiancé, Coty Vincenti; grandfather-in-law, Cliff Miller of Jeanette, PA; and also their loving Golden Retriever, Brody. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents, Richard and Ruth Hibbard and Warren and Emily Albeck. Richard had always loved being around the water; it had been woven throughout his life. He excelled on his high school swim team and often traveled to the east coast beaches to enjoy the surf and sun. After high school, he served in the Navy, and then obtained certification for commercial diving. Later, he became an electrical contractor owning and operating his own business.
Richard enjoyed the South Carolina weather and its beaches, the surfing, outdoor activities and the wonderful friends he met while living there with Ashley.
Richard worked hard and played hard. He could walk into a room with his friendly smile and happy personality, and made friends easily. He was quick to jump in and help anyone who needed a hand. Richard loved to make people laugh or at least put as smile on their faces. He will be cherished, loved and in our hearts forever.
A Blessing Service will be held in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home's Chapel, Rev. Dr. Timothy Reichard officiating, on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Online condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
