Phares A. Hutton, III age 83, of Pittsburgh, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Phares is survived by his beloved Wife of 62 years, Arlene Zola Hutton. Loving Father of the late Jeffrey Phares Hutton, Randall (Leslie) Hutton, Mark (Kimberly) Hutton, Melissa (Chris) Bradley. Adored Pappy of Alexis Hutton Huss (Ben), Olivia Hutton, Myranda Bradley, Zachary Phares Hutton, Ethan Vukelich, Meghan Bradley, Theresa Vukelich, Jillian Bradley, Aaron Vukelich, Justine Vukelich; and fur-baby, Gracie. Brother of Thomas (Linda) Hutton. Phares is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Phares, II and Elizabeth Hutton; and sisters, Jean (the late Chuck) Henzler and Joan (the late Anthony) Lagatutta.
Phares joined the Pittsburgh Police force in 1965. During his 30 year career he worked hard at becoming a detective. He started in the robbery division and that led to him spending his last 20 years as a homicide detective. Upon retirement Phares enjoyed bowling,his time on the golf course, and most importantly becoming the “Pappy” that all of his grandchildren fell in love with.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2 pm in the Funeral Home's Chapel at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh.
