Nyra's family was very devoted to her, and she felt very loved. This included a very large extended family and many friends whom she worked to stay in touch with as much as possible.
Nyra would like to be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, and aunt. She would also like to be known as a good friend and a kind, helpful person. She also wanted to be sure to mention her most precious best friend of 30+ years, Peggy Hansen, whom she could always count on in times of need and fun.
As a strong supporter of Montessori and early childhood education, Nyra served as an educator to hundreds of young children and as a mentor/teacher to a large number of Montessori interns for over 30 years. She also aided in the opening/relocation of four Montessori schools.
