Just 14 words, but they say so much: “Mike touched many lives in his 53 years, and made friends everywhere he went.” Mike and I became best friends 41 years ago, and from the day I met him, he has epitomized true friendship. Whereas I consider Mike to be my best friend there are so many others that can rightfully make the same claim, in as much as that is the type of person he was. Mike was selfless, genuine, humble, good hearted, loyal, and forever supportive in good times and bad. Anyone who was fortunate to get to know him recognized that he was a caring person and a man of great integrity. He was a great example of how everyone should treat others. Many years ago, one of the most famous commercials and famous advertising jingles of all time was everywhere to be seen on television; it was a commercial for Gatorade and it starred Michael Jordan. A portion of that campaign said “Sometimes I dream that he is me - you’ve got to see that’s how I dream to be – like Mike – if I could be like Mike – I wanna be – I wanna be like Mike” We should strive to be like Mike – the best friend, and brother, and son, and Dad, that anyone could ever hope for. Peace and Love my friend
My Buddy Mike was a Peace Maker, who took life's most difficult challenges in an extremely patient peaceful manner. Blessed are the Peace Makers. Life tries to pull us apart with health challenges, schedules, survival duties, other relationships, etc., but it does not succeed in the heart. You and your family will always be in my prayers. My Buddy Friend forever. Rob
