Melanie A. Holloway's Obituary
Melanie (Potts) Holloway, 56, of Castle Shannon was taken to Heaven unexpectedly on June 13, 2026 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of James Holloway for 30 years, and the precious daughter of Faith and the late Harry Potts. She leaves behind her brother, David Potts and his wife, Lynn; her nephews Cody (Bella Marino) and Devin, and her niece, Madeline Potts. She loved them all dearly. She is also survived by her uncle and aunt Jeff and Lee Ann Pritchard, and cousins Jeffrey, Amanda, Karen, JoEllen, Kelly, Tracey, and Bobby. She was the daughter-in-law of Larry Holloway and the late Mary Holloway.
Melanie was a nurse for many years, most recently as an Occupational Health Nurse for the Department of Energy. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was a part of the Chancel and Hand Bell choirs. She enjoyed scrapbooking, shopping and playing cards with her good friends; beach vacations, cheering on her Pittsburgh sports teams, and especially had fun going with her husband to countless Jimmy Buffett concerts. Melanie also cared deeply for the several pets she and James had over the years. She was caring, loving and fun and will be missed beyond measure until we meet her again. She is with her Lord and her dad.
