Melanie meant and means so much. Being at church with Melanie, she always made me and my family feel welcome. I sang in choir with her and played bells by her side. She was stalwart, always there to listen and care for me and my family when something was hard. She always showed up when needed for anyone in need around her. She had a great smile and laugh. She tolerated me juggling mallets beside her every bells practice, which might seem like a small thing, but it was something we shared, laughed about, and she never stopped me from doing. When I walk past where we played bells together I always think of her. There is a music folder open there currently, the only open music folder in that area. I stop and read the music title when I pass and remember her.
Melanie, we miss your music and heart here with us now, but you make heaven's melody so much sweeter. I look forward to seeing you there someday. I know your care is still with us, steadying our path.
