Mark was a great mentor in the NYC. You will be truly missed Richey!
Mark was such a nice guy and will be missed. Very personable and I always had fun when I hung out with him. Rest in peace buddy!
Mark was one of the first neighbors we met when we moved to Cary, NC. He was always one to make sure everyone was having a fun time, whatever the occasion. Mark knew I attended the University of Maryland, and when Maryland came to Chapel Hill to play the Tar Heels, he made sure we had tickets and would tailgate with him. He even made Turtle Soup, which as a “Terrapin”, I couldn’t eat! It was such a lovely day, and after the game, he called over some UNC Football players to play catch with my son and other kiddos who were there. Like I said, no matter the age or school loyalty ☺️, Mark ensured a fun time was had by all. After another tailgate, Mark wanted to invite his friends back to his Cary home to celebrate after the game. He wanted to do something very special, so he bought 10 rib roasts to feed his “clan”. We were cooking the roasts on Mark’s HUGE grill while he was at the game. We told him we would need a hose, a water sprayer, some olive oil and vodka. He look puzzled, and said “Vodka? You marinate the roasts in Vodka?” We told him the Vodka was for the cooks! Mark always had a smile on his face, and was a very kind man who always wanted the best for his friends. I’m glad you didn’t suffer long, Mark, and I know you are at peace, out of pain, and in eternal paradise.
Fond memories are easy to come by when thinking of him. Mark could make anyone laugh and could jump start a party before anyone even new a party was happening! He was smart, loving and thoughtful. The whole package! I am thankful I new him for close to 50 years, but not nearly long enough. God bless him and all his family. My deepest sympathy. Carla
