As a younger cousin to Karyn, I have endless memories from growing up near her in Baldwin-Whitehall . I idolized her as an incredible athlete who always encouraged me to stand up to boys and to play every sport I could. She was always the quarterback in our on-street football games on Blossom Drive and was my role model as a top notched bowler, golfer, volleyball and basketball player. I loved going to her high school basketball games when Baldwin earned a spot in the school's Hall of Fame after a trip to the PA State Championship. I was so lucky to have an occasional sleepover at her house and she always let me look through all of the cool stuff in her room and play with her dog Mikey who she taught me to feed under the table during dinner...lol. And as adults, I will always remember Kar as a compassionate, kind adult who was a meticulous gardener and lover off all wildlife. She was an amazing photographer and always shared the pics of her backyard 'visitors' who felt so at home in the gorgeous space she provided. She was truly a family treasure and the world was a better place with Karyn in it. She will be forever remembered with love and missed by all lucky enough to have known her.
