June J. Comfort's Obituary
June J. (Pennick) Comfort, age 75, of Bethel Park, passed away on May 31, 2021.
June is survived by her beloved husband, Paul H.Comfort; two sons, Preston J. (Ashley) Comfort, Jason D. Comfort; three granddaughters, Isabella Comfort, Aubrey Comfort, Olivia Comfort; one brother, Frank J. (Donna) Pennick; and an aunt, Norma (Pennick) Price; as well as many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank J. and Catherine (Kempa) Pennick and a brother, John F. Pennick.
Because of her passion for dance, she owned and operated June's Dance Studio in Brookline which led to teaching gym at Resurrection school in Brookline. Later in life, June worked as an administrative assistant and receptionist at a local insurance agency. But, her biggest role in life was that of a loving wife, mom, and
grandma. Family always came first. June loved dancing to doo-wop music with her husband, attending the ballet, oldies music concerts, musical films, cooking, and gardening. She was well known for her skill at decorating her home for the holidays, especially for Christmas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 From 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 11th, 11:00 AM at St Peter's Episcopal Church, 4048 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in June's name may be made to The American Cancer Society.
