I was shocked when I found out last night that Hanshi had passed away.My instructor,Charles Williams, always spoke highly of Hedderman Sensei. I had the privilege of training with Hanshi and his son,Tony. Please know that Hanshi's wife,Linda, family, friends, and students are in my thoughts and prayers as well as everyone in Northern Kentucky who knew this wonderful man.

I can't believe you are gone. I will miss when I called and you answered the phone asking me if I wanted to talk to my mommy. We always laughed before you put her on the phone. Most of all I will miss your yearly visits to our island in the bay and just getting to hang out. Rest in peace. Missy & Joel
Sensei Hedderman was my teacher, my friend. He shared his Jiu-Jitsu with me and taught me the essence of the art. He had high standards and helped all us to reach them. He taught us to take our art seriously, but not to take ourselves too seriously. We were so fortunate to find him as our teacher. Condolences to the entire family, and all those who knew him.
