I was so saddened to hear of John’s passing. We lived together Junior year at Gannon and can say I still laugh just thinking of the times together. From school to going to races at Watkins Glen to Mosport and so much more. John was/is one of the nicest people I know. Kick myself for not keeping connected Best to his family in this time I will miss him. So many laughs! Tom Roth
To John’s family: I lived next door to John in the dormitory during our first year of college and was saddened to see John’s name listed in the “in memoriam” section of a recent alumni publication. I am truly saddened to learn of John's passing. I knew John when I was a youngster growing up in Cheektowaga, New York in the early 1970's. John had worked for the Town recreation center. I played hockey there and knew John as he was a rink guard and worked in the offices at the center. He was just a great guy and a kind man. I had broken my ankle at the rink one day and John had just arrived at the rink, saw what had happened and quickly drove me home in his little blue TR7 sports car. I remembered John for this kind gesture for many years, and in the mid 1980's I located John and called him to thank him for what he did to help me that day. During my life I have been blessed with a few good friends. People that you go through life with sharing the good times and the bad. John was one of my closest friends and we shared years of wonderful experiences. John possessed a way of seeing all the good things and was always there when time got hard. There are to many times to count and to many stories to tell, but he enriched every life he touched. John will always be a part of who I am because his friendship made me the man I am today.
