Jim Johnson's Obituary
James R. “Jim” Johnson, age 72, of Bethel Park, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Jim was born in Pittsburgh on December 6, 1951, the son of the late Theodore and Margaret (Born) Johnson.
Jim made his home and raised his family alongside his high school sweetheart, Diane (Shock) Johnson. He was a family man who enjoyed the memories he made alongside his daughter and granddaughters. He couldn’t have been more proud of all their accomplishments.
Jim enjoyed a long career of 38 years with Local 12 as a sheet metal worker. His career helped lay the foundation for his master craftmanship and was known to build or fix anything. His work was always perfect, and he was an amazing woodworker. Jim was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was also a longtime member of Carrick Sportsman Club Pistol Team.
Jim led a joyful life full of purpose and had a wonderful sense of humor. Although reserved, he was always quick with a joke. Jim will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his beloved wife of 54 years, Diane Johnson, Jim leaves his daughter, Dr. Cariann Johnson Huber and her husband, Patrick, and his granddaughters, Victoria (Patrick) Schob and Anna (A.J.)
