James E. Lehman's Obituary
James E. Lehman, age 73, of South Park, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 adventurous years, Marilyn (Gracon) Lehman; daughter, Kelly "Scooter" (Matthew Clark) Lehman and Baby Boy on the way; sister, Patricia (John) Mayhew; brother, Richard (Louise) Lehman; and sister-in-law, Patricia Lehman. Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. and Jean Lehman; and his brother, Robert C. Lehman.
Jim retired from US Steel in 2003, and more recently had worked at Lowe’s in Bethel Park, where he was well known as “Jimmie Bowtie.” He was also very fondly known by friends and South Park residents and students as “Mr. Jim.” He had a great affection for the SPHS marching band students from the years 1998-2002. You may have even seen him on Trading Spaces: Family in 2004.
Jim had an amazing sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to be the center of attention, even if it meant making fun of himself. He also loved “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Godfather,” Marilyn’s pot roast, Motown, dancing to “Shout!” (he had been known to rip a pair of pants or two) and denying that he followed reality TV. Mostly, he loved his girls - Marilyn and “Scooter,” his many cats throughout the years and soon to be born grandson.
He will be missed tremendously, but always remembered with a hearty laugh and a “Can you believe he just did that?”
Family and friends are welcomed on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Private Funeral Service will be held for the family.
