Age 69 of South Park, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2018. Loving husband of 29 years to Andrea Conteen (Pascoe); Father of Carissa (Jason) Larkin, Lafayette, Indiana, Vincent Conteen, Matthew Tokar and Valerie Tokar; Grandfather of Jae and Morgan; Brother of Barbara (the late Dominic) Evangelista, and Son the late Anthony and Patricia (Patton) Conteen.
James was a federal employee for over 30 years, served in the Vietnam War, enjoyed all things Civil War related, he volunteered at South Park Meals on Wheels and Pittsburgh Food Bank. Jim was an avid walker in South Park. He was known at the park to greet you with a big smile and a wave. Jim loved to bring his wife flowers every week of their marriage.
Visitation for James will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday from 2-7 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Pleasant Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church, South Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the South Park Meals on Wheels and Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 862 www.vva862.org. Condolences may be given at jeffersonmemorial.biz
