She was one of my favorite teachers. I used to go visit her well into my teenage years. I remember the hand puppet. Binky Bear I believe it was named.

I was so sad to learn of Jackie dying. I have known her for over 5 years and was her cleaning angel. We shared a love of books, stained glass, and hugs.
I will miss her a great deal, as I know you will.
I’m 37 years old and one of my absolute best memories is the reading teepee that Mrs. Scanlon had in her classroom. 100% a teacher that left an imprint on my heart. May she rest in loving peace. ❤️
It is with sadness to learn of Jackie’s passing. She was an amazing woman and found beauty in everything and everyone. All her projects were done with care and love. I admired her and was happy to have made her acquaintance. May she rest in peace. She will be missed.

The photo above was taken at my Birthday party March 2022. Jackie was so excited to introduce me to the Italian restaurant near where we were building our new home! Of course we had several desserts (just tastings)....believe it was her favorite part of dinner!
Mrs. Scanlon was my son's 4th grade teacher at McClellan School. She was a delightful person. I was the homeroom mom for the class that year. Jackie always wanted to pitch in and be part of the activities. If a child didn't turn in money for the parties, she wanted to know how much she should pitch in, not who the chlidren were. One particular memory I have is when my son wasn't feeling well. He was running to the nurse and when he missed a day, she called me to make sure he was ok. Her classroom dugout was a favorite of all the kids who each got a day to sit in it and pick a friend. I had the pleasure of runnng into Jackie a few years ago. She remembered my son and was so happy, but not surprised, as she said, to hear he was thriving in live and in his career. May she rest in peace. I think of her everytime I see a nutcracker, which I know she collected!
