Jacqueline Hunzinger's Obituary
Jacqueline Hunzinger, age 88, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully after a long battle with dementia on June 2, 2026.
Jacqueline was known for her nurturing spirit, often going out of her way to care for family and friends alike. She had a special joy for family gatherings and cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her family, Jacqueline was involved in her church community and enjoyed various pastimes, including bowling, playing cards, and traveling with loved ones. Her warmth, kindness, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband Robert H. Hunzinger; children Robert (Trang Salzberg) Hunzinger and Cathy (Daryl) Wood; grandchildren Jonathan Wood, Evan (Amanda) Wood, and Jared Wood; great-grandchildren Evan and James Wood; sisters Mary Lois Utzig and Dorothy (Dave Nicholson) Skoko.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lois Quigley.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh 15236. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 12:30 pm in the funeral home's chapel.
