Lupe’s back porch was the backdrop to many lovely conversations. She was a kind, sweet neighbor. My favorite memory of Lupe was the first time I laid my babies on the grass in my backyard, and Lupe came over and cooed for and played with and adored them. Our family will always cherish Lupe's visits to her hometown in Texas during the good times, as well as those difficult ones when we had to bid farewell to our loved ones. She had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She was a loving mom to her only son, Gus and his wife Tina, as well as to her extended family. I worked at Hill's with Lupe. I LOVED her. She was so sweet and kind. She was such a hard worker. She was nice to everyone and never said an unkind word about anyone.
