Don Fulton's Obituary
GEORGE DONALD "DON" FULTON
Age 103, on Wed., Nov. 20th. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Gladys (James) Fulton. Survived by daughters Donna Paterson (Ron Reinmiller) of Bend, OR and Rhonda Kelly (William) of Pittsburgh. Grandfather to Christopher Paterson (Betsy Sole) of Klamath Falls, OR and Wendy Kasrawi of Phoenix AZ and great-grandfather to Amira and Amani Kasrawi.
Don was a life-long Pittsburgher who grew up in Swissvale, raised his family in Baldwin Twp. and spent his last 18 years at Friendship Village in Upper St. Clair sharing his quiet dignity and wry humor with many new friends. Don was a veteran of the US Army serving in Europe during World War II and was employed in the Computer Services Dept. of Dravo Corp. prior to military service and afterward until his retirement.
Don was an avid golfer and Pittsburgh sport teams enthusiast, but above all, he was a dedicated family man who actively supported the well-being of friends and neighbors with acts of kindness and compassion throughout his life.
Don's family offers sincere thanks to the staff at Friendship Village and particularly to those at the Health Center who supported and cared for him in his final months.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home followed by private burial next to his wife. A public celebration of Don's long life and legacy is being planned at Friendship Village after the holiday season.
