Elsie N. Tennant's Obituary
Elsie N. Tennant, age 94, of Bethel Park, formerly of Homestead, peacefully passed on to her next life in the Heavens on February 2, 2021.
Elsie is survived by her children, Bernard A. (Roberta) Tennant, Shirley A. (Steven) Harrell and Noreen Koval; grandchildren, Michelle Tennant, Tracy Tennant, Toni Carlson, Sherri L. Garlick, Lynn Battin, Heidi Holthaus, Holly Tennant, Kenneth Harrell, Robert Tennant, Rebecca Fontaine, Christopher Tennant, Christy Prado, Brian Koval, Raymond E. Tennant, III; many great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Tennant, Sr.; her parents, George and Margaret Atkinson; her son, Raymond E. Tennant, Jr.
She was a loving, faithful wife of 61 years to Raymond E. Tennant, Sr, who preceded her in death. She loved her family more than words can express. One of her favorite things to do was cook and bake for her loved ones. She affectionately cooked large, family meals to then send everyone home with care packages of leftovers and anything else they might need. She always had homemade peanut butter cookies in her kitchen anytime you stopped by and loved to make Christmas cookies along with her famous nut rolls. She was known for her generosity, high-spirited and spunky attitude, fortitude, infectious smile and laugh as well as dancing up until the day she passed.
Visitation will be held on February 6th from 6-8 P.M. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236
A private service will be held.
