Growing up in Broughton in the 1950s and 60s the Broglie family was a prominent and very respected family in our little community. I never really got to know Doug, as I was several years younger than him but I remember he and his dad working tirelessly to develop a small track of land just up the street from my childhood home. That small track became Broglie Drive where they built at least a dozen, really nice single family homes that added value to the neighborhood. My sincere condolences to the entire Broglie family.

Mr. Broglie always had a smile on his “😀” and asked how I was doing. Mr. Broglie was a wonderful and kind hearted teacher to all the students.
