Doris P. Marston's Obituary
Doris Marston, 78, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025.
Doris was a very active member in her community as a Whitehall resident for 46 years. She was a member of the Republican Committee of Whitehall, demonstrating her commitment to civic engagement and her passion for public service. A lifelong lover of football, she was particularly devoted to Penn State, where she was a proud season ticket holder, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines.
Doris's faith was of utmost importance to her, as evidenced by her active participation in Bible study and her deep involvement in church activities. She cherished her family above all, always putting their needs first and ensuring that family affairs and gatherings were a priority. She was an avid dog lover, cherishing her sweet German Shepherd Bentley. Doris also loved spending time at the beach on the gulf coast of Florida.
Doris is survived by her son Jeffrey Marston; nephews David (Elaine) and Daniel Polinak; great niece and goddaughter Alyssa; great niece Stephanie; great nephews Nicholas and Adam.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband John Marston, parents Nicholas and Anna Polinak, brother Donald Polinak, and nephew Stephen Polinak.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Blessing service will be held on Thursday, May 29 at 10:00 am at the funeral home's chapel. Burial to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 pm.
