Cindy Grimes
Debby has been my lifelong childhood best friend since we met in middle school in Glassport, as we were seated alphabetically. Debby Carlson, Beverly Chiaverini and Cindy Conrad were three peas in a pod. We truly shared our lives, marriage, childbirth, divorce, becoming grandparents and remarriage. When Debby called and said she wanted to get married on the beach in Florida, I managed to pull together Florida friends and family for a beautiful ceremony, followed by a reception filled with love and laughter And great times, within a weeks notice.
A few years ago when I visited Pittsburgh, we stayed in a hotel room and were Pittsburgh Tourists during the day, ate well, laughed and giggled in the evenings. Just the two of us.That was an incredible memorable, beautiful blessed trip.
Debby has always had incredible words of wisdom and encouragement. We were able to be honest and forthcoming with one another, as we truly loved and respected each other. I was so proud of her accomplishments professionally, and when it came to baking! Debby truly enjoyed her artistic abilities and shared her heart with all that were willing to share with her.
Her gentle touch and gentle smile, were unique and certainly will be missed. Debby had a twinkle in her eyes, unlike anyone I’ve ever met. My heart aches for the loss of my sister, but my soul smiles with the beautiful memories that I’ve been blessed with.
I find peace in knowing that her beautiful twinkle smile will greet me one day and I’ll feel her gentle touch again. God love you Debby.
Love you to the moon and back, Cindy
