Connie Holman's Obituary
Constance "Connie" Holman, a cherished soul whose warmth and dedication touched many, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, at the age of 83. Born in Homestead, Pennsylvania, Connie was the beloved daughter of the late Karl G. and Tresa K. Miller.
Connie grew up in Lincoln Place, a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, where she developed a love for the outdoors and various hobbies. She was an avid water skier, golfer, bowler, and gardener, and she also enjoyed various crafts. Her zest for life was infectious, and she could often be found sharing her passions with friends and family.
Connie was a graduate of Taylor Alderdice High School with high honors, and continued her education at the Community College of Allegheny County, where she studied computer science. This foundation paved the way for her successful career in the tax preparation and payroll management fields, where she worked for several decades. Her professionalism and expertise were highly regarded by her colleagues and clients alike.
Connie's commitment to her community was evident through her active involvement in numerous associations. She was a proud member of the "Red Hats" Crimson Cuties and AARP #3172. Her service extended beyond social clubs as she was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ and a dedicated member of West Homestead Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring her service to others.
Her loving partner of more than 30 years, James Zdrale, stood by her side, sharing in her joys and supporting her through life's challenges. Connie's legacy lives on through her loving family: her son, James (Kimberly) Holman; her granddaughters, Kristine Holman, Alexis (Phillip) Carosello and Madalyn Holman; and her great-grandson, Christopher Carosello. She also leaves behind her brother, Kenneth G. (Debbie) Miller, her niece and nephew, Nicole and Kenny, and was predeceased by her brother, Karl James "Jimmy" Miller, and her son, Craig S. Holman.
Connie's life was marked by her generosity and her commitment to helping those in need. She was a dedicated servant and generous supporter of various charities, always seeking to make a difference in the lives of others. Her selfless nature and willingness to help without seeking recognition were hallmarks of her character. She will be fondly missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 10 am - 12 noon and 2 pm - 4 pm and Tuesday, April 16 from 10 am - 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday following visitation at 11:30 am.
