Clarence Raymond Adams, Jr. (Butch), age 73, of South Park, formerly of Sharpsburg, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 9, 2021. Clarence is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Sharon; children, Carrie A Read Obituary
Mr. Adams was by far the best English teacher I ever had. He made it fun and I looked forward to each class. Also got to know him outside the classroom as he umpired several of our Steel Valley High School baseball games (I was team trainer). Had the pleasure of running into him, Mr. Kritco, and My Bugel at a Penguins playoff game in 1975. Deepest sympathies to family and friends. God Bless.
Sharon and family I’m so sorry to hear about Butch’s passing. I loved joking around with him when he come to me at work. He will missed by everyone.

Sharon and family I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Adams classroom was the one everyone wanted to hang out in before and after school. He put so much time and energy into the school from student council to homecoming. I remember for Christmas my senior year I bought him a bottle of Tanqueray gin! I mean it was the mid 90s! He was our friend, mentor and certainly one of a kind. I was lucky enough to continue a friendship with him for years after graduating and I am grateful to have known him and always proud to be one of his Queens. Mr. Adams was an amazing teacher and mentor. Not only that, he was the soulmate of Ms. Ellis, they were who we all wanted to be, to the end. His lessons he taught echo through generations of mind that will last a lifetime. I will never forget him.
