Amy Bellas' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Amy Nicole Bellas, a bright light who was taken from us too soon. Amy passed away unexpectedly at the age of 22, leaving behind a legacy of endless love, joy, and inspiration.
Amy was born on July 1, 2002, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and spent her childhood growing up in Upper St. Clair, where she was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. From a young age, Amy radiated grace and beauty. She truly was a beautiful soul. She had a spirit and smile that was like sunshine, with a heart full of kindness, generosity, and compassion. Those who knew her, whether friends, family, or classmates, found a constant source of nurturing support, comfort, and pure enjoyment in her presence.
Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State University, where she not only excelled academically, but also became a role model to her peers and was valued by her professors. Her work ethic, dedication, and genuine concern for others shone through in all that she did. Amy aspired to be a healthcare specialist, a career that would allow her to continue making a difference in the lives of others. Her determination to help others, paired with her profound empathy, promised a future filled with remarkable contributions to the field.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Amy was vibrant, charismatic, and enjoyed life's adventures to the fullest. She had an immense passion for dancing, skiing, swimming, and jiu jitsu. She was unwavering in her focus and dedication to whatever she set her mind to doing. Her energy, enthusiasm, and infectious laughter were impossible to ignore. Whether on the dance floor, on the slopes, or in the gym, Amy poured her heart into everything she did and inspired others to do the same.
Amy was blessed to find her soulmate in her sweetheart, Trevor Stuart. The deep love between them was evident. He was her Gentle Giant. Amy truly cherished Trevor for the genuine happiness and fulfillment he brought into her life.
Amy leaves behind her parents, Bob and Sandy Bellas, whose love and support shaped the incredible person she became. She is also survived by her sister, Kate Elizabeth Bellas, with whom she shared the closest of bonds, and a wide circle of friends and family who adored her.
In her short life, Amy taught us all what it means to live with purpose, love unconditionally, and be dedicated to the people and causes that matter most. Her unwavering loyalty, comforting presence, and radiant personality will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, June 5th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A celebration of life will be held in Amy's honor at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on June 6th, 2025, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org in Amy's name, as a tribute to her love for helping others.
We take comfort in knowing that Amy's light continues to shine brightly in our hearts, and that her memory will forever live on in the countless lives she touched.
Rest in peace, Amy. You are deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
