Wilma Gyurisin's Obituary
Wilma P. Gyurisin, 85, of Pittsburgh, peacefully embarked on her next adventure on February 24, 2017. She was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania on October 26, 1931, to John and Mary Preksta. Wilma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 23 years, Edward Gyurisin; her children, Edward (Roberta) Gyurisin, Wendy (Christopher) Gyurisin-Brode, Mary Beth (Evan) Westermann, Paula (fiancee Mark Echard) Gyurisin and Adam (Sara Jane) Gyurisin; grandchildren, Selena, Clem, Madison, Emma, Duncan, Sydney, Jackson, Isaac and Eden; great-grandchildren, Ronin and Remington; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Preksta; mother, Mary Preksta and husband, Edward P. Gyurisin.
Wilma loved the Arts. She loved to dance, sing and perform. A firecracker who loved to sew, known for her talents in clothing making and quilting. We want to thank all of the staff and residents at Overlook Green who have been so essential to Mom's health and well-being.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 10 am - 12 pm & 2 pm - 3 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Celebration of Life service will follow visitation at 3 pm in the Funeral Home's Chapel.
