William George Stephan, Jr., age 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted family on Friday, October 23, 2020.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Nancy Stephan. Loving father of Elizabeth Stephan, William, III (Cathy) Stephan, Mark (Sherry) Stephan, Lance Stephan, Gregory Stephan, Therese (Robert) McAleer, Michael Stephan, Catherine (Stanley) Walter, and Michelle (Richard) Thornock. Cherished grandfather of Samantha and Sarah Stephan, Allison and Rachael McAleer, Sara and Stefanie Walter, Stephanie and Jennifer Thornock, Brandy Padgelek, Gerald Youschak and Ashley (Patrick) Fagnilli. Cherished Great-grandfather of Alexis, Devin and Brayden.
William was preceded in death by his Parents, William George, Sr. and Catherine Stephan and his siblings, Drusilla Wilson, Robert Stephan, and John Stephan.
William was a proud Retiree from the United States Air Force serving as Lieutenant Colonel. He began in the United States Army Air corps 489 Bombardier Squad, 340 Bombardier Group, from September 23, 1943 until May 19, 1945 and he was a member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard and the Air Reserves. William enjoyed listening to the music of Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. Above all, he loved his family and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
