William E. Mehrenberg's Obituary
William E. Mehrenberg, age 78, of Pittsburgh, passed away on the morning of August 18, 2022.
Husband of 28 years to Christine Mehrenberg. Father of the late Michael E. Mehrenberg and Patricia J. Mehrenberg. Brother of the late Kathy, Jeanne, Richard and Carol. Son of his late parents, William E. Mehrenberg, Sr. and Edwina (Jedrzejewski) Mehrenberg.
Bill grew up on Penn Street in Pittsburgh with his best friends Bob Smith and Boyce Porada. Bill served during the Vietnam War in the 17th Combat Aviation Group as a crew chief and mechanic. His service earned him commendation and decoration. After the service, Bill worked in the steel industry blast furnaces, etc. until the time of his retirement in 2006. When he wasn't working, Bill enjoyed hunting with his brother, son, nephews, and friends. He was also an avid fisherman along with his wife Chris. He was loved and will be truly missed.
Family and friends are welcomed on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6 until 9 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10 am in the Funeral Home's Chapel. A Graveside Service and Military Honors to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
