William "Bill" Maloney's Obituary
William D. Maloney, age 96 of West Mifflin, PA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born August 3, 1928, the son of the late William and Sarah Maloney. He was the beloved husband of 69 years to the late Marilyn Ladley.
William is survived by his son Dale, loving daughters Leslie Holoman and Lisa (Randy) May; his grandchildren Daniel Maloney, Krystal (Chris) McKee, Ryan (Kris) May, Thomas (Emily) Holoman, Ashleigh (Tim) Starkowicz and Lindsay (Nick) Wynne, 10 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Patricia) Maloney and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his brother Francis Edward Maloney and son-in-law Tim Holoman.
William was a proud United States Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan. After his years in the service, he worked for many years as an Operating Engineer at the Allegheny County Public Works Office where he retired.
William was very active in his local community of West Mifflin, serving as a committee man for several years where he was instrumental in organizing the Skyview Volunteer Fire Department. William was also a football coach and founding member of the first football midget team in West Mifflin.
William was a loving, devoted father and loving husband who enjoyed taking family vacations at the beach where he loved to golf. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and all those who had a chance to meet him.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, and from 10am-12pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm on Saturday following visitation in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be handled by Lebanon Church Cemetery.
