William H. Friend's Obituary
William "Bill" Friend, 76, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2024 at his home.
Bill was a dedicated master plumber, proudly working for UPMC Children's Hospital until his retirement. He took immense pride in his work and was known for his loyalty to his family and friends. In addition to being a skilled tradesman, Bill had a passion for life that shone through in everything he did. He had a special love for miniature railroads and cherished his classic 1969 Z28 Camaro, which he proudly drove around town.
Bill is survived by his beloved sisters, Gloria Cushey and Peggy Benson, who will forever hold their memories of him close to their hearts.
He was prededed in death by his parents, William and Margaret Friend as well as his son, Ricky Friend.
Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 7th from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at 12 P.M. in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
