It’s hard to find the right words to say at a time when there really are no words. I didn’t get to spend much time with Bill, but through my interactions with him and through the stories everyone shared, it was clear that he was truly a force to be reckoned with. It’s also clear that Bill did life right. He showed a type of love and wisdom that not many people will experience in this lifetime .
The love, compassion, and strength within your family are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Even through the tears and the hardest moments, his love for all of you was always so evident. What you gave him in his final days , especially being able to celebrate Maggie’s wedding and give her away the day before he passed, was such a beautiful and meaningful gift. That moment speaks volumes about the love your family shares.
As painful as this time is, I hope you can hold onto the fact that the relationship and love you all shared is something most people only hope to have in life.
His love, guidance, and influence will always be with you. The impact he had on his family and everyone around him is something that will never fade.
The strength, kindness, and devotion your family shows each other is truly inspiring.
I can only hope to one day be the kind of parent, partner, and friend that Bill was. I truly look up to him and to all of you, and you are all in my thoughts and prayers .
