William D. Ellis' Obituary
William Darrell "Bill" Ellis, age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 19, 2026, gaining his wings and entering paradise, free from pain.
Bill was born on July 18, 1960, at Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George's County, Maryland. He lived his 65 years to the fullest and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all else, Bill was a family man. He shared his love generously and had a way of making everyone feel like family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend whose kindness and loyalty touched countless lives. Bill dedicated 31 years of his life as a respiratory therapist, where his passion for helping others was evident every day. Through his work, he impacted and helped save many lives.
Outside of work, Bill found joy in life's simple moments. He loved tinkering with cars, working on projects in the garage, enjoying good bourbon with friends, taking fishing and camping trips, and going for rides in the truck with his beloved dog, Cinnabon. Most importantly, he cherished every moment spent with his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jean Ellis; his daughter, Maggie Ellis and her husband, Zach Latona; his mother, Margaret (Jethro "Bud") Ball; his beloved dog, Cinnabon Ellis; his granddogs, Winnie and Cowboy Latona; his sisters, Susan Plowman, Denise Affolter (Mike), Anne (Karl) Sutherland, Jane (Kevin) Kieffer, and Katey Ball; his father in law Nicholas (the late Jean) Oliverio; and brother and sister in-laws, William (Joyce) Oliverio, Mary Oliverio, Nicholas (Deborah) Oliverio, Ralph Oliverio, Elizabeth Oliverio and Therese Oliverio. Bill was a wonderful and loving uncle who also leaves many nieces and nephews.
