William David Burkhardt's Obituary
91, of Peters, formerly of Munhall, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 12, 2018. Husband of 38 years to the late Gilda Burkhardt; father of William James (Cathy) Burkhardt and Robert Alan (Eileen) Burkhardt; grandfather of Grant, Nicole, Lucas, and William; brother of the late James Burkhardt; and son of the late James and Annabelle Burkhardt. William was a veteran of the United States Navy (1944-1946) and a dedicated employee of US Steel- Homestead Works for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's degree in 1950. Bill was a Vita volunteer for 25 years. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 2 pm - 8 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
