William "Bill" Bond Waddell's Obituary
Waddell William "Bill" Bond Age, 84, of Whitehall, previously of the North Side, on Friday, October 6th after a short illness with his family by his side. Loving husband of 43 years of Shirley (Gessner) Waddell; father of Catherine Waddell (Devin Caswell); grandfather of Scarlett Caswell; brother of Nancy Shuck (Don) and Barbara Burgin (Walter); also survived by several nieces. Bill was born to William Francis and Grace Waddell and grew up in Crafton. He was a graduate of Crafton High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He was employed by the City of Pittsburgh for over 50 years, first as a community planner and later as a real estate coordinator. Bill was a kind, compassionate person who would go out of his way to help those in need. He was devoted to his family and will be dearly missed. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday October 11th from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday October 12th at 11:30am in the Funeral Home's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
