William A (Bill) Vizza's Obituary
William A. (Bill) Vizza, of Bethel Park, passed away on January 14, 2018. Beloved husband of 49 years to Teresa. Father of Christopher (Shannon), Mark (Gwen), and Marie. Proud grandfather of Victoria, Caleb, Hailey, Landon, and dogs; Frank and Benny. Bill was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and an active alumni. He attended Slippery Rock University where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and received his masters at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Bill taught at Baldwin Whitehall school district for 35 years. After retirement, he worked at the University of Pittsburgh and later taught at Duquesne University. Among his involvement in the community, Bill coached baseball and basketball, was the commissioner of the Bethel Baseball Association and Whitehall softball. He could always be found on the basketball courts officiating since 1970. He is a member in good standing of Italian Sons and Daughters of America and St. Valentine parish. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 6 pm - 8:30 pm & Thursday, January 18, 2018, 1 pm - 3 pm & 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A funeral will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10 am, St. Valentine Church, Bethel Park, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in Bill's name to the Central Catholic Alumni Scholarship Endowment Fund at www.centralcatholichs.com. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
