Wendy M. Fontanesi's Obituary
Wendy M. Fontanesi, 72, of Washington, PA. passed away peacefully on May 28, 2022 after battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for over forty years. Wendy is survived by her children Teague and Nathan Blouse and Erika Cook; grandchildren Ariahna Blouse and Vera Cook; preceded in death by Romeo and Jennie Fontanesi.
Born on September 27th, 1949 in Pittsburgh PA., Wendy was raised in Bethel Park by her loving parents. Upon graduating high school, she attended Penn State University where she completed her undergraduate degree. Wendy married Robert Blouse in 1970 and they raised their three children in Eighty Four, PA. Additionally, Wendy worked as a teacher at various schools within Southwestern, PA.
Wendy was a beloved Mother that demonstrated unbridled strength throughout her life as she fought MS. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sports/racing, cars, the outdoors, and being with family and friends. Wendy was always positive throughout her life and left everyone she met a better person.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Private burial to take place Friday at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh, PA.
