Wanda Yount, age 91, of Banksville (formerly of West Liberty, Ohio), passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on April 3, 2017.
Cherished wife of 45 years and preceded in death by Reverend James S. Yount, Sr.; mother of Richard Yount of Olathe, KS, Rebecca Yount (Bruce) McKenzie of Columbiana, OH, and James S. Yount, Jr. of Banksville; grandmother of Ray Christian and Richard Yount, Jr., Timothy, Laura, Melanie (Stotler) and Bruce McKenzie, Jr.; great-grandmother of Savannah and Sarah Stotler, Emily and Lillian Keefer, and Joel and Jacob Canello. Preceded in death by her parents John and Rebecca Yoder; siblings Iona Martin, A. Ray, Glen, Glade, and James Yoder. Wanda was born in West Liberty, Ohio in 1925. She was an elementary school teacher prior to her marriage. She faithfully served alongside her husband at Braddock United Presbyterian and Bethel United Presbyterian Churches. Visitation will be held Friday April 7, 2017 4-8 PM and Saturday April 8, 2017 10-12:30 PM at JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to N.O.R.D. (National Organization for Rare Disorders) at, www.rarediseases.org and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at, www.lls.org. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
