Vivian Victoria Kreutzer's Obituary
Vivian Victoria (Haas) Kreutzer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 27, 2023. Born on December 3, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Louis and Mary Haas. Vivian was a beacon of love, compassion, and strength to all who knew her.
Vivian was a proud graduate of Crafton High School. Her love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 62 years, Hubert Kreutzer, and a loving mother to her children, Patrick Kreutzer, Paula (Ed) Secilia, Susan (Larry) Archinal, and John Kreutzer. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Kyrstan, Lydia, Joshua, Brandon, and Nathaniel, and her great-grandchildren, Riley and Luke. Vivian's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to her role as a stay at home mom, Vivian also served her community as an assistant librarian and a school crossing guard for Swissvale. Her dedication to her community was a testament to her caring and compassionate nature. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and was known for her kindness and generosity.
Vivian had a deep love for reading, which was evident in her role as an assistant librarian. She found joy in the written word and often shared this passion with her family and friends. She also had a keen interest in art and jigsaw puzzles, often spending hours immersed in these activities.
Vivian's love for nature was evident in her admiration for birds and flowers. She found beauty in the simplest things and often spent time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of the world around her. Her love for nature was infectious, and she often shared this passion with her loved ones.
A devoted Catholic, Vivian was an active member of the bereavement choir at Word of God. Vivian also Volunteered at St. Anselm Parish Library and Gift Shop. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance. She was a pro-life advocate, using her voice to stand up for what she believed in. Her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Vivian will be remembered as a loving and caring individual who touched the lives of many. Her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was a true testament to the power of love and the strength of family. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Friends and family will be welcomed on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 10 am in the funeral home's chapel. Burial will follow at Christ Our Redeemer cemetery.
