Virginia "Ginger" Paulsen's Obituary
Age 87, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Overbrook, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. Preceded in death by husband of 67 years, Edward "E. Don" Paulsen; mother of 3 loving daughters, Linda (Fred) Kohl, Janet (Tim) Kroll, and Kathy (John) Volpe; adored grandmother of Julie (Christian) Vineyard, Timothy Kroll, Brian (Erin) Kohl, Johnnie (Angela) Volpe, Jennifer (Mike) Zendek, and Emily (Jim) Shawl; dear great-grandmother of Lyla, Emma, Maddie, Chelsea, Ella, and Dominic; daughter of the late Kenneth and Geraldine Bernhardt. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, bridge, golf, reading, and politics all while being an exceptional mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 PM on Saturday, January 12. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ginger's name to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 400 Old Clairton Road 15236. Condolences may be left at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
