Virginia Nimpfer's Obituary
Virginia "Ginny" Nimpfer, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 1, 2024, at her home in Dormont, PA. Ginny was born to William and Margaret Hegel on December 23, 1943, in Pittsburgh (Spring Hill), PA.
Ginny found joy in making crafts, reading on her front porch, and above all, cherishing the time spent with her family, especially her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ginny served as a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church on Brighton Road in the early '70s, and again at Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church in the early 2000s. In addition to her church involvement, Ginny also enjoyed being a nanny throughout the years.
Ginny is survived by her son Bill (Tracey) Nimpfer; grandchildren Melissa (Jeff) Lancia, Bradley Nimpfer, and Leah Nimpfer; great-grandchildren Elana, Natalie, and Sofia Lancia, and Parker Nimpfer; sister, Sandra (Bill) Lott, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends, along with her former colleagues at St. Clair Hospital and friends at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald A. Nimpfer; son Jim Logan; grandson Christopher Nimpfer; parents William and Margaret Hegel; and her siblings Marlene Orth, Beverly Kivador, and Al Steinmentz.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday April 3rd, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, and Thursday April 4th, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral home chapel on Friday, April 5th at 11am.
Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
