Virginia L. (Mitchell) Kraft's Obituary
Virginia L. (Mitchell) Kraft 93, of Pleasant Hills, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022. She was born on November 7, 1928 in Hays, Pennsylvania, to the late Christine and Albert Michalec. “Jean” was the beloved wife for 50 years of the late Edward A. Kraft and loving mother of Judy (Tom) Flaherty and Ed (Beverly) Kraft. She was a dear sister to her siblings, predeceased: Alberta Snyder, Dorothy Carroll, Joan Merriman, Robert Mitchell, and Russell Mitchell. She was devoted to her grandchildren: Colin and Christopher Flaherty, Sarah Kraft, Eddie (Danielle) Kraft, and Kenneth (Christie) Schwartz. Jean also adored her great grandchildren: Charlotte and Fiona Schwartz, and London and Holland Kraft. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was generous and loved her family, friends, and home. She was an extraordinary cook, baker, seamstress, and gardener. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 10:00 am in the Funeral Home's Chapel. Gifts in Jean’s memory may be given to Pittsburgh Prison Cats, pghprisoncats.org .
